Yes – we can paint or stain the gate for you in-factory, not in the field. We can also provide the gate raw or unfinished for you if desired. In both cases we always pre-seal edges and certain components before final construction of your gate as you will not be able to access those areas once the gate is built. We want you to have a product that looks and functions great for years to come, regardless of who does the final finishing.
For longevity and performance reasons, Garden Passages does not warranty single gates larger than 52 inches wide (actual swinging slab portion, not total opening), and double gates larger than 108 inches wide (total opening). Limitations on height vary by style, but as a general rule Garden Passages does not build gates that exceed 116 inches in height. Garden Passages can fill openings larger than the sizes described above – for larger openings please contact us to discuss your project specifics.

No! A properly planned, finished, and maintained gate should not fall victims to termites. Proper planning means picking materials that are naturally or artificially insect resistant – this alone should prevent termites from damaging your gate. Proper finishing means sealing the gate on all sides and edges to deter termites from using your new gate as a food source. Proper maintenance means continuing to reseal and protect your gate over time so the elements don’t break down that protective layer.
